How to deposit on LottoStar: the short answer

Step-by-step: making your first LottoStar deposit

- Open your channel. Log in to the Nedbank Money App, Nedbank Online Banking or Avo.
- Find the voucher purchase area. Look for the section that sells vouchers or prepaid products and select LottoStar Voucher.
- Choose the value and pay. Select the amount you want and approve the payment from your account.
- Save the voucher PIN. Copy the PIN shown or sent to you and keep it somewhere safe.
- Redeem it on LottoStar. Go to Deposit, choose LottoStar Voucher, enter the PIN, accept the terms and confirm.
What happens after you deposit: Play Credits explained
Every rand you deposit becomes Play Credits. Your bets on Reel Rush slots, Live Games, Lotteries, Slotteries and the rest are paid from this balance, and LottoStar states that your Play Credit balance is always withdrawable.
That is different from bonus money. Promo Credits expire, cannot be withdrawn and are only used once your Play Credits are at R0. Freebies cannot be withdrawn either, and Habanero Free Money is limited to Habanero Reel Rush games with its own playthrough. LottoStar deposit not reflecting? Troubleshooting a failed transaction
Most "missing" deposits come down to a small detail. Work through these checks before you try again, so you do not pay twice.
- Confirm the money left your account. Look at your banking app. A declined card or cancelled OTP means no payment was made.
- Refresh and check the right balance. Log out and back in, then look at Play Credits rather than Promo Credits.
- Check the voucher PIN. A single wrong digit, an already-redeemed voucher or the wrong voucher brand selected will cause a failure.
- Check the reference on direct deposits and EFTs. A missing or mistyped reference makes it hard to match your payment to your account.
- Ask your bank about card blocks. Some banks decline gambling transactions by default or flag them for extra verification.
- Keep proof of payment. Save the bank confirmation, voucher slip or screenshot before you contact anyone.
Using your deposit to claim the LottoStar bonus
